In Memory Of Helen Frankenthaler
c>log
Helen Frankenthaler, an American abstract expressionist painter, was a major contributor to the history of postwar American painting. Frankenthaler exhibited her work over a period of sixty years as she spanned several generations of other contemporary abstract painters. Frankenthaler continued to produce vital and constantly changing art works during her career. Frankenthaler began exhibiting her large-scale abstract expressionist paintings in modern museums and galleries in the early 1950s. Her work has since been exhibited on a global basis while working from her home and studio in Darien, Connecticut.
