The martini is an awesome, sexy and powerful cocktail made with gin and vermouth. The properly mixed martini is then garnished with a Spanish olive or a twist of lemon. Over the years, the martini has become one of most storied cocktails ever invented.

Classic Martini Ingredients

75ml (or approx 2+ 1/2 oz) Gin
15ml (or approx 1/4 oz) Dry Vermouth
1 green olive OR a twist of lemon peel
6 ice cubes

Classic Martini Directions

• Into a mixing glass, place about 6 cubes of ice.
• Then, pour in some darn good Gin and the Vermouth.
• Stir well for a few minutes. This is an important step.
• Strain and pour into a right and proper martini glass.
• To finish, drop a green olive into the glass.
• Or, arrange a twist of lemon peel on edge of glass.

“One martini is all right, two is two many, three is not enough”
~ James Thurber
