Photo Series: Curvilinear Concrete

c>log
Curvilinear is the state of being formed or enclosed by curved lines. This is in opposition to rectilinear which stresses straight lines. Curvilinear became a high style of the later part of the 19th century and early 20th century, by combining Victorian eclecticism and the flowing, sinuous forms of Art Nouveau. This series uses a traffic ramp near on a river bank as its subject. The sweeping curves moving diagonally through the picture makes for a very nice compositional element.
