The Spontaneous Combustion Of Humans
c>log
Spontaneous human combustion refers to supposed cases of the burning of a living human body without any apparent external source of ignition. There have been around 200 reported cases worldwide over about 300 years. One of the common characteristics of spontaneous human combustion is that the body — or at least part of it — suffer an tremendously large degree of burning, with the physical surroundings and/or lower limbs comparatively undamaged.
Almost all of these purported cases share one thing – the lack of a thorough investigation. They depend heavily upon hearsay and oral testimonies. Since all human bodies contain varying strengths of an electrical field and the human body also contains flammable gases (mainly the methane in the intestines), an electrical discharge could ignite these gases. Beans! I knew it. Thanks for visiting!
