Today Is The Nearly Digital Transition Day
c>log
We nearly went all digital today. All those people who won't get off their duff and buy a cool new digital television have had plenty of warning. But, the day was delayed until June 12th by our very busy Congress. The change in date also allowed television stations to go ahead and switch to digital today anyway. So, we are nearly digital. About 421 television stations shut off their analog signals today. Nearly 220 already have gone 100% digital. Below is a simple test card demonstrating the difference between a digital and an analog signal for those who might still need to be convinced. Forget the dang converter box! Get out there and stimulate the economy – buy a shiny new digital television!
