ShamWow! You hit it when you are surfing the channels and there he is pitching his product like no other pitch man before him. He draws you in the second you see him and amazingly he holds you there as he deftly demonstrates his product and cleverly describes its usage. The pitchman extraordinaire is Vince Offer and he is the comedian, writer and director who released the 1999 film entitled Underground Comedy Movie. The movie however, was the recipient of extremely negative reviews. Not surprisingly, DVDs of the less than successful Underground Comedy Movie were eventually marketed on television infomercials.

After having seen Vince in action on his two current infomercials for ShamWow, the well-designed German towel, and SlapChop, a handy-dandy chopping utensil, you know that he has mastered the art of ballyhoo and ascended to a master's level of hucksterism. And, Vince sells products! Lots of them. Lots and lots. Vince uses a nice little prop in the way of a headset microphone to cement his image as a master pitchman and his sly and wry delivery set him apart from the more mainstream pitchmen like Billy Mays or Ron Popeil. Can you imagine Vince hosting a full half-hour infomercial or his own television talk show? Well, all we can say is ShamWow! Are you following me?
