Aerosmith Plans Return To Studio In 2009

Aerosmith has been rocking for 38 years now. Rocking hard. And all that time on stage (and elsewhere) takes its toll after awhile. So the band has been on a hiatus for awhile due to various injuries to a couple members of the band. Both Steven Tyler and Joe Perry have suffered leg injuries and have sought medical treatment for their injuries. Aerosmith plans to return to the recording studio in 2009 as soon as the injuries allow.
"You'd think it was a football team or something. You have more than average concerns about it, I guess. But you can't do anything about it. Like a lot of other things in life, you don't get to call the shots on these things, do you? We're just getting older."   Brad Whitford, Aerosmith Guitarist
According to the band, the group is "sitting on a bunch of material already recorded for a new album." Aerosmith has not released an album of new material since Just Push Play in 2001. Although Aerosmith did put out an album in 2004 called Honkin On Bobo, it was an album consisting of cover version of songs. This is great news as the band heads into its 39th year of rock 'n' roll.
