Slash, the legendary guitar hero from Guns N' Roses, got his stolen guitar back. Well, sort of, because the guitar Slash got is a remake of one of his favorite guitars, a 1991 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop. The original guitar was stolen from his studio in 1998 and he was never able to recover it. So...if you are a certified guitar hero, then you can ask the manufacturer to rebuild your favorite just for you. Gibson obliged and built him a beautiful Slash Signature model Goldtop that was built to his personal specifications. Slash has got a few months to break in the new axe before joining up with Velvet Revolver for a new project. And, yes, the guitar is now available to the public in the original Slash Signature version and a less expensive Epiphone Les Paul model. Slash says the new guitar sounds just like the old Goldtop which is still in the possession of the thief.
