David Byrne & Brian Eno Together Again
c>log
In 1981, twenty seven years ago, David Byrne and Brian Eno teamed up to make a landmark album called My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts. An extended version of the album was released in 2006. Arguable, this collaborative work represents a creative high-point in the careers of both musicians. This analog recording of electronica, ambient music and Third World music used sampled vocals and voices that had to be synchronized with the instrumental tracks on a trial and error basis. For Talking Heads fans, My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts was recorded on a break between Fear Of Music (1979) and Remain In Light (1980).
Available on August 18th, Byrne and Eno will treat us to another effort called Everything That Happens Will Happen Today. The 11 track album will be offered exclusively at www.everythingthathappens.com. Starting on August 4th, the website will begin permitting downloads of a free preview of the album with the complete work available for purchase through the website on August 18th. Also, after the initial launch of the album, special enhanced versions of the album will be issued with deluxe packaging and special album artwork.
David Byrne will begin a major tour to promote Everything That Happens Will Happen Today with some of these special concerts featuring new songs from the album as well as from My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts. And yes, there will be some special Talking Heads music as produced by Brian Eno.

| "Brian Eno and I recently finished our first collaboration in about 30 years. For the most part, Brian did the music and I wrote some tunes, words and sang. It's familiar but completely new as well. We're pretty excited." |
