In what appears to be a week of reunions, Cheech and Chong have announced their first tour in over 25 years. The tour will cover the nation and will include 22 dates with additional dates to be announced. Cheech & Chong: Light Up America will initiate ticket sales at 4:20 p.m. on August 8th. Truly the comedians of the subculture, Cheech & Chong produced nine albums from 1972 to 1985. The duo has been nominated for four Grammy awards and they created the biggest selling comedy album in history, Big Bambu. Their venture into films proved profitable as well with their first movie Up In Smoke grossing $100 million at the box office in 1978. Together, Cheech & Chong have appeared in eight feature films all of which were directed by Tommy Chong. The announcement was made in Los Angeles at the Troubadour – the club where they were discovered.
