Michael Campbell a/k/a Mikey Dread passed away on Saturday, March 15th, 2008 at his home in Connecticut. He had been suffering from a brain tumor since his diagnosis in 2007. He was born in 1954 in Port Antonio, Jamaica, West Indies. Mikey Dread is survived by his wife Monika and six children. Mikey and Monika had their most recent child in October of 2007. He will be truly missed but his music plays on....Dread at the Controls.
