They aimed. They fired. They heard an explosion. The U.S. successfully shot down its own spy satellite about 250 miles above the earth. Officials are confident that they destroyed the fuel tank which held the highly toxic material hydrazine. Some of the fuel tank debris will make landfall but should be of no concern (that we know of). Nice shooting!
