This is possibly the best dub album ever made! The full name of this release is "Lee "Scratch" Perry Meets Bullwackie in Satan's Dub." This is the dub version of a 1988 recording of "Satan Kicked the Bucket". This recording was made in the Bronx in a studio run by Bullwackie. The dub version also has performances by the Chosen Brothers. This dub is deep and funky. It has lots of special effects and verbal effects with a groove supplied by The Upsetters.

Lee ''Scratch'' Perry - Meets Bullwackie In Satan's Dub

Most people familiar with Jamaican music know of Lee "Scratch" Perry—the dub master himself. But, not many people know about Bullwackie. Lloyd Barnes, who experienced his childhood in Kingston, fell in love with super kick ass sound systems in the area run by the likes of Duke Reid and Coxsone Dodd. Lloyd left Kingston to avoid the violence of the times and moved to New York where he was to establish his own sound. Before hip-hop broke loose on the streets of New York, Bullwackie was pounding the air with his own sound coming from his own sound system. The New York dance scene gravitated toward his new sound and the toasters he brought over from Jamaica like Horace Andy, Leroy Sibbles, Wayne Jarret and Junior Delahaye. The Jamaican dancehall sound pulsed through the streets of New York thanks to Bullwackie and his toasting guests. Arguably, this could be considered the origin of hip-hop in America once the local kids got hold of the sound and made it their own. But, is was brought over from Jamaica by Lloyd "Bullwackie" Barnes and this version dub created with Lee "Scratch" Perry in 1988 keeps announcing itself as the best dub of all-time. Hands down positive vibe.
